Ministry Opportunity!

Missionary opportunity is now available for a dedicated young or retired couple to semi-independently operate a health food cafe based on CHIP guidelines in our Lifestyle Health Center in Rocky Mount, VA, located in rural southwest Virginia.
You can be involved in one-on-one counseling, prayer and Bible study with your customers as the Lord leads. Modest utility and rental expenses would be covered for the first 2-3 months (based on growth) as the cafe operation was born, advertised and a customer base developed.

Our goal is not to just 'run a business' but to ultimately introduce and lead people of our community to Jesus, his Salvation, and the Third Angel's Message - and we are using the health message as our opening wedge.
Currently, we are presenting three CHIP programs yearly, cooking classes, grief recovery seminars, plus other events to spread Truth.
There is an organic bulk/health foods store on premise. The Lifestyle Health Center (LHC) is located on a busy street in the middle of town with a large 39 car parking lot.

We need help!

We are not inclined to ask for help unless it is serious.� We are in a position where we feel we must ask our friends for help.�

To give you an update, our ministry continues to grow.� We are well underway in booking programs for 2012 and already have 3 months booked with another 2 months in progress.� It could very well be that we will be completely booked up for 2012 by the end of this year. We praise God for the way he is leading us and are happy that we are a ministry and NOT a business.� We are now in our 6^th year of service, can you believe it?!

John�s projector is �on the blink� and we absolutely need another one as soon as possible.� This summer we had a near tragedy which resulted in damage to the undercarriage of our trailer.� It was a miraculous event; the accident broke off our plumbing outlet for septic and grey water which we repaired immediately, but the holding tank encasements remain damaged and will have to be repaired soon, before winter.� Our truck needs new tires (set of six) and the awning on our trailer is ripped up (currently held together by tape) and needs replacement.

Recently, John has completed another health presentation on the topic of hypertension (high blood pressure) and we need to get this filmed and produced also as soon as possible. We need a second camera in order to produce a nice quality video.� We seriously need help for all these things and we estimate the cost will be a minimum $ 6,700.� Diesel is now $4.00 per gallon on average and this cost alone is considerably.� We still give away books and DVD�s, but we do accept donations for them so that is helping with our expense needs.� Our continuing ministry is truly a ministry of faith.� We thank you for your prayers most of all.

Spring is on its way and the growing season is drawing near. Food prices are climbing at an alarming rate and the economic climate of the world is becoming increasingly unstable. Commodity prices at the Chicago Board of Trade for grains and oil seeds scheduled for late summer and fall delivery are hitting all time highs, with some contract prices doubling in just the past few weeks. In the past six months wheat is up 70%, corn up 60%, soy up 50%, sugar up 35%, palm oil up 142%, sunflower oil up 60%, and the list goes on and on. China, the source of over half of the apples in the American market, has seen the cost of those apples double in just the past two weeks.
